Spitfire Articulation Set for Logic

Spitfire SS.png

This changed my life. Starting in Logic X Pro 10.5, you can use Articulation Sets to select and assign articulations. For example, you can select a bunch of notes for a Spitfire Symphonic Strings patch and tell Logic to play those notes with the spiccato articulation. You can even have multiple articulations in the same region simultaneously—so all articulations can finally live on just 1 track. Mind blown.

I built a set of articulations for Spitfire Symphonic Strings and am planning on building out the other Spitfire libraries. Thought I would make them available to you too (for free). I mean, I do make you sign up for my mailing list, which really isn’t no-strings haha, but you can unsubscribe whenever you want. Though if you like reading about nerdy/interesting musical things (which I think you do, since somehow you got to this page), you could consider staying subscribed :-)

I’ll write more instructions about how to use this set soon.

Download the articulation set

This is version 1.0, which includes the main 5 instruments in Spitfire Symphonic Strings. I’ll add more libraries and patches bit by bit—let me know if you find this useful and how these are working out for you!

Included this in download — Articulation Maps for “UACC KS” articulation switching:

  • Spitfire Symphonic Strings

    • a - Violins 1.plist

    • b - Violins 2.plist

    • c - Violas.plist

    • d - Celli.plist

    • e - Basses.plist

    • f - Ensembles.plist
